Significance of Sri Ardhagiri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple:

The importance of this temple is that it is related to the Ramayana period.  During the war with Ravana, Lakshman fell unconscious and only way to cure him was to bring “Sanjeevani booti” from Himalaya’s. When Hanuman went to Himalaya’s to bring this medicine, he was not able to find it and hence decided to lift the whole “Sanjeevani” parvat and take it to Sri Ram. While flying from Himalaya to SriLanka, half of the hill broke and fell at this place and hence this name “ArdhaGiri” and this place “Aragonda”.

Sanjeevaraya Pushkarini:

This is a pond located at ArdhGiri. It is believed that this pond contains medicinal water and cures diseases. This pond never dries up and also the water of this pond never gets spoiled. People fill this water in a bottle and take it home.

This is the one of the most important Hanuman temples of South India. Each day thousands of devotees come to visit this temple. Specifically on the full moon day, there is lot of rush as huge no. of devotees visit Ardhigiri.
